Southampton School No. 1, Pleasant Street, Vincentown
This photograph shows the ten-room Southampton School No. 1 after its completion in 1924. It was built to serve grades 1 through 8 and consolidate the four-room Vincentown School No. 63 with the one-room school houses at New Freedom, Red Lion, and Smalley’s Corner (Lane School). A new wing was added in 1928 to further expand School No. 1.
