Haines House, c.1930
71 Mill Street, Vincentown, NJ
Vincentown Village Historic District (SHPO #870, NRIS 87002107, District Inventory No.103)

The parsonage for the Episcopal Church originally occupied this location. In the 1930s, the Haines family substantially remodeled the parsonage into the shingle style house we see today. This style was was popular in the late 19thC and early 20thC. Notice the asymmetrical form, the use of shingles and clapboard, the complex gable roof, the large central chimney and divided light windows. On the east side there is a large 2nd floor Palladian window commonly seen in the shingle style.
